Song Joong Ki will be heading to Colombia soon to film his upcoming movie!

On January 3, it was reported by SpoTVNews that Song Joong Ki will be flying to Colombia’s capital Bogotá in mid-January to shoot the film “Bogotá.”

The movie is about young people who immigrate to Colombia in the 1990s. It’s reported that Song Joong Ki only finished up filming for the sci-fi movie “Lightning Ship” (literal title) in November, but he quickly headed into preparations for “Bogotá.” A source told SpoTVNews, “Song Joong Ki is working very hard to prepare for the film, to the point that he already went on a trip to Colombia last month to check it out.”

Song Joong Ki’s new agency History D&C has confirmed that the actor will be heading to Colombia this month, and it’s reported that he’ll be filming there on location for about three months.

Actors including Lee Hee Joon and Kwon Hae Hyo have also reportedly joined the cast.

“Bogotá” is expected to come out in theaters in Korea in the second half of 2020, while “Lightning Ship” is due to be released in the summer.
